About

Heather Willis

I am a masters-level provider of coaching. My education and degree in Christian Counseling are of some value, yet I place equal value on the years of experience serving others that I have been blessed to do. I have mentored, counseled, coached, taught and trained people for over thirty years.

My background and experience includes many years as a lay-minister, ranging from youth ministry to marriage ministry. It also includes many years of non-profit community ministry and pastoral care. I really enjoy teaching and have been blessed to speak on subjects of great passion to me such as: Growing to Spiritual Maturity; Parenting; Marriage Matters; Communication & Conflict Resolution. Venues include church groups, schools, and women’s retreats.

Among our current endeavors, we coach people who serve in international environments. We are honored to provide member care, and to make trips to their locations. When there, we do teaming training,  individual sessions, and prayer. It is also important to us to serve where we are committed in the local church. Thus, we direct a lay-counseling ministry at Redemption Church – Alhambra, (Phoenix), where we train and monitor group facilitators and care helpers.

I am currently full-time student, working on a Master’s Degree in Biblical Counseling. I am experiencing a life transition, similar to those we counsel!  (I recently retired from social work to pursue this course of study and create greater availability for coaching and member care).

I spend a fair amount of time mentoring and coaching men in the areas of Godly manhood, sexual purity, and freedom from porn addictions.  My passion is to see the redemptive purposes of God in “all our afflictions, that we may comfort those with the comfort we ourselves have received.”            (2 Cor. 1:4)

Personal Bit

After many years of being “single again”, the Lord has graced our lives with each other.  We were married in the fall of 2015 and are thoroughly enjoying being partners in life and mission.  We are grandparents to 12 amazing grandchildren, and joyfully await the possibility of adding to that number!
